2010 Prairielands Council Illini Jamboree
September 17-19, 2010
ILLINOIS vs. NORTHERN ILLINOIS
100 years of Scouting. 120 Years of Illinois Football!

The Illini Jamboree is located at the Rantoul Municipal Airport (formerly Chanute Air Force Base) in Rantoul, IL. Check-in starts at 4:00 pm on Friday. The fee is $45 for all Boy Scouts, Venturers and camping Cub Scouts and leaders. There is a $25 game only ticket option for Cub Scouts.

The Illini Jamboree will be bigger and better than ever this year, as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Scouting! This year’s Illini Jamboree features an in-state football showdown between the University of Illinois Fighting Illini and the Northern Illinois University Huskies, in an upstate vs. downstate Illinois battle!

Boy Scouts and Venturers:
Similar to past years, this includes a ticket to the football game at Memorial Stadium, transportation to the game, pre-game games and festivities, an opportunity to participate in the field color guard plus all the entertainment back at Rantoul after the game.

Cub Scouts:
Camping Option: Camping for the weekend, a ticket to the Illini football game at Memorial Stadium, transportation to the game, pre-game games and festivities, an opportunity to participate in the field color guard plus all the entertainment back at Rantoul after the game.

Individual Family Camping Option: Cub Scouts and their families whose Packs are not planning on attending may register for the Illini Jamboree on an individual basis. Cost per person is $45 for the camping option. Camping will be in a designated “Cub World” camping area, and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that for the Family Camping option, regular BSA camping and Guide to Safe Scouting guidelines apply to all campers. To sign up for this Family Camping option, please contact Susan Coller at 217-356-7291 Ext. 6441, or via email at susan.coller@scouting.org.

Game Only Option: This includes a ticket to the game and the activities after the game up in Rantoul. It does not include camping or transportation to the game or transportation back to Rantoul after the game. Packs need to make arrangements to get these tickets and wristbands to their members choosing this option (all tickets and wristbands will be in the packet the pack will receive when they check-in on Friday night). If the entire Pack chooses this option, the tickets and wristbands will be available at the Prairielands Scout office on September 17.

Everyone attending the Illini Jamboree must be registered and pay the fee. Wristbands will be given to every participant and must be worn all weekend.

Concession Tickets for lunch inside Memorial Stadium will be available for purchase. The lunch includes a hot dog, soft drink and bag of chips. The coupons are available for a Scouting Special price of $7.00 each, and you can order them with your registration.
