The highlight of a Cub Scout's year is summer camp! They get to run around, play games, and hike! Plus, they get to do activities they wouldn't normally get to do in the Den or Pack setting: BB guns, archery, and boating. Consider attending at least one of this year's Cub Scout Summer Camp events!
Prairielands Council offers many different summer camp opporunities, some at Camp Drake, some at cities in the council.
Day Camps - these are week-long camps during the day. There are several weeks (and locations) to choose from. This is an ideal camp for Tiger and Wolf Scouts.
Family Fun Fest - This is a weekend long camp at Camp Drake for the entire family (even sisters). You can camp Friday and Saturday nights, just Friday, just Saturday, or not at all - just come Saturday for the fun!
Parent & Pal Weekend - This is a similar weekend to Family Fun Camp, without the family. One parent and one Cub Scout do activities and earn awards at different stations around Camp Drake.
Adventure Camp- This is a four-day, three-night camp at Camp Drake. Generally, a Bear or Webelos den would attend with two leaders. Cubs will earn advancement at stations all around camp. This is similar to a Boy Scout Camp, only not as long.
Campership Request Form - return this form to your Unit leader by April 16th in order to qualify for a "scholarship" to summer camp.
BSA Health Form - Complete sections A & C for Family Fun Fest, Day Camps and Parent & Pal events. Complete sections A, B & C for Adventure Camp.
